Lemon Batteries

Today's science lab question: Which electrode combination will produce the highest amount of electricity? With the help of guest scientist from Vernier Software, biologist Mike Collins, 4th graders tested different conductive metals in a lemon battery, using a Labquest interface to measure the voltage of different electrode combinations. What an exciting and challenging day in science!

Winter Art

This week, we hosted Ms. Woods and her 5th grade class to learn about water coloring techniques. We created beautiful, unique pointsettias, which are now posted in the hallway.

Students Vote

On November 8th, Creston students had the opportunity to vote for Student Council representatives. This gave us the opportunity to talk about voting rights and responsibilities. Despite all of the conflict surrounding the time since the election, 4th graders were proud and excited to have a voice in student leadership. It was amazing to watch!

Crafting!

Today, students spent some time getting our crafts ready for the Holiday Bazaar this Saturday. Looking forward to this community event! Pancake Breakfast from 8-9am and Bazaar from 9-12.
